Saturday or Sunday, 11:00am – 2:30pm

$125 or $195 for 2

Hey, have you got Mothers Day covered yet? They say the best gift is your time – so, how about this? Together, both of you take some time away from busy!

Gift your mother and self to a day in the country, just outside of downtown Galt, Cambridge. Feel inspired among French Peasant Gardens and a charming 1830’s Stone Cottage Studio.

After your pretty drive up our country laneway, you’ll be greeted on the front porch with a mimosa!

Your day will begin with a tour of our famous French Peasant Gardens. You’ll glean tips on preparing your garden for the changing seasons of winter to spring and spring to summer. If you’re a gardener, have your questions prepared!

Afterwards, we will be making our way back into our Studio space where we will begin the first project of the day – flower crowns! What fun it will be having everyone wear a crown for the rest of the day’s events and photo op’s!

After lunch, we will begin our primary project: a beautiful twig wreath inspired with spring flower ingredients. You will entwine fresh peonies (designed to dry) to become an everlasting wreath for your home. Nothing smells like the freshness of spring more than peonies!

Before you go home, enjoy some light refreshments and take some time to get those profile picture and instagram-worthy photographs so you can capture these memories and special day.

Happy Mothers Day!

In this workshop, learn how to work with this material, and how it’s being used on the runways in a very big, bold way. Not your typical baby’s breath!

June 13th – Loire Valley Series: Floral Festoon

Wednesday, 11:00am – 2:30pm

$175/pp

Includes materials, instruction and lunch

Instructor: Elaine

Introducing the first of an exciting new theme of workshops – the Loire Valley Series – inspired by Elaine’s visits to the breathtaking chateau’s and gardens of the French valley.

This is 16th century France (think Muskoka or the Hamptons, 500 years ago and ever-so-much more grand!) and the floral decoratives from this period are breathtaking! They take some technique, which we will teach you – but best if you’ve worked with flowers before (or have already taken one of our workshops).

Inspired by Château de Chenonceau, or the “Women’s Castle”, the only castle built, decorated, inhabited and saved by women, making it a great place to understand the role of women during the Renaissance. Think Catherine de Médicis.

During this workshop, you’ll design an oversized floral decorative that’s a romantic addition to hang over your bed, a mirror or over a door to make any entryway feel grand.

Picture a garland that’s smiling, rather – a 5 ft garland swagged to look like it’s smiling. Stuffed full of flowers and foliage designed to dry so you can enjoy it for seasons to come.

Magnifique!
